History

Hello,

Thanks for stopping by to visit us. Here’s a little history about us; who we are and what we’re about.

Some may wonder where we came up with the name Bullet Fiberglass. Bullet was my best friend.  We did everything together.  That miniature schnauzer ate more human food than some humans do and I spoke more dog to him than most dogs did.  We got along great.  With Bullet at my side and my son Brien on the other we set out to take on the world and chase our dreams with Bullet Fiberglass.

I’ve been around boats my whole life, from my younger days in the Kerman Boat and Ski Club to our current place as IHBA World Record holders. My family and I have always loved boating. I’ve met some of my best friends on the water, but over time I have lost some dear friends while racing drag boats. When I opened Bullet Fiberglass in April of 1994, one of my goals was to design a boat that would save lives, rather than take them. Exactly 11 years later we unveiled the Bullet Outrigger Hydro. So far, we have had a near perfect safety record.

Brien, my son, is an artist. He has placed himself among an elite group of painters. His work has gone on to places where only the great compete; The L.A. Boat Show, S.E.M.A Auto Show, and the Blackie Gegian Autorama to name a few. Brien’s works include boats, cars, hotrods, motorcycles, bicycles, and even a few football helmet golf carts for the local high schools to show their school spirit!

This is just a brief bit about us. Feel free to stop by and see us. Whether you need an estimate, repair, or just some friendly advice, we always look forward to meeting new people, seeing old faces, and helping you enjoy boating as much as we do.

Welcome to the family,
Jim Dunn
